Creating a Bridgit Account

Last updated: July 28, 2026

All new users in Bridgit must accept the initial invitation and create an account, prior to gaining access to the tool. Follow the steps below to create an account.

Accepting the Invite

All new users in Bridgit will receive an invitation via email. The invitation will be sent from Bridgit Bench, with the subject line, You've been invited to Bridgit Bench! You must open the email to complete all steps in order to gain access to the tool.

Important: Invitations are valid for 7 days. Once a user clicks the invitation link and begins the signup process, they must complete the entire onboarding within 5 minutes or the invitation will expire. If a user doesn't accept the invitation within the 7‑day timeframe or doesn't complete signup within 5 minutes of starting, the invitation status will change from "Pending" to "Expired." You will need to resend the invitation from the Invited Users section.

To create your account:

  1. Open the email, and click Activate your account

  2. From here, you have the option of creating a user name and password specifically for Bridgit or you can opt to use your Microsoft or Google credentials to log-in.

Note: If Single Sign-On (SSO) has been configured in your account, you may not have the option of creating a user name or password (basic authentication).

  1. Once you have selected your authentication option, Click Sign in / Continue.

  2. If using SSO, you will be brought to a Google / Microsoft login page when you will fill out your credentials.

  3. If login is successful, you should now be brought to the home page Dashboard within your Bridgit account.

Tip: Using SSO with either Microsoft or Google can make signing into Bridgit more straightforward and seamless.
