Home Page
Last updated: April 23, 2026
The home page of the dashboard in Bridgit provides an at-a-glance view of key workforce metrics when you log in. It displays core statistics about your workforce, unfilled roles, and the status of your projects to help you quickly assess your organization's current state and jump into action.
The dashboard includes five key metrics that link directly to detailed views: utilization rate, people on the bench, unfilled roles, roles for hire, and expiring certifications. Two visual charts - Project Breakdown and Unfilled Roles - which provide additional context about your projects and workforce needs.
Eligibility/Prerequisites
Access to the Dashboard Home Page depends on your permissions and enabled modules:
Profile type permissions: If you only have permission to view one profile type (salaried or hourly), you'll only see data for that type
Module requirements: stats only appear if the corresponding module is enabled in your account:
Utilization rate requires salaried profiles module
Roles for hire requires roles for hire module
Expiring certifications requires certifications module
How to Use
Accessing Dashboard Home Page
The home page is the first page you see when logging into Bridgit. You can return to it anytime by clicking Dashboard in the main navigation.
Understanding the Key Metrics
Five stat metrics display critical information about your workforce:
Utilization Rate | Summary of workforce utilization over the next month (salaried only). Click to view the full utilization graph with 6-month view by default |
People on the Bench | Count of people with 100% availability in the next month. Click to view the filtered People List showing only available workers |
Unfilled Roles | Count of all unfilled roles active in the next month. Click to view the Roles page filtered on unfilled roles |
Roles for Hire | Count of all roles tagged for hire that are active in the next month. Click to view the Roles page filtered on unfilled roles, sorted by the hire tag |
Expiring Certifications | Count of certifications that are expired or in their expiry window. Click to view the People List filtered on expiring certifications |
Using Dashboard Filters
Filter your dashboard data by:
Profile Type: Switch between salaried and hourly (if your account has both modules enabled)
Group: Filter by specific groups (if your account has groups set up)
All metrics and charts update automatically when you apply filters. Links from metrics will maintain your filter selections.

The Project Breakdown chart shows your projects organized by status with total counts displayed for each status.
To view projects by status:

If you have both hourly and salaried modules, you'll see a visual indicator of profile type

Group-specific insights: Filter by Group to focus on specific teams, regions, or divisions and understand their unique workforce dynamics.
Common Questions
Q: Why don't I see the utilization rate metric?
The utilization rate only appears if your account has the salaried profiles module enabled. If you filter to hourly only, you'll see a dash (-) instead of a percentage.
Q: Why does my dashboard look different from my colleague's?
Your dashboard reflects your specific permissions. If you only have access to certain profile types or groups, you'll only see data for those areas. Additionally, metrics only appear if you have the corresponding modules enabled.
Q: Can I customize which metrics appear on my dashboard?
The metrics displayed are determined by your account's enabled modules and cannot be customized individually. However, you can use filters to focus on specific profile types or groups.
Q: Do the links from metrics remember my filter settings?
Yes. When you click through from a metric, the destination page will maintain your profile type and group filter selections from the dashboard.
Q: How far into the future do the metrics look?
Most metrics focus on the next month: people on the bench, unfilled roles, and roles for hire all look at the upcoming 30 days. Utilization rate shows the next month's summary, and expiring certifications include those currently expired or entering their expiry window.
Q: Can I add a filter on the dashboard?
Yes, but only by profile type and group. To apply more specific filters, click on any metric (e.g. "People on the bench") to open the detail view, where additional filtering options are available.
