Settings > People > Custom fields
Up to 80 custom people fields are available for tracking information. Add and edit new custom fields or edit existing fields. Custom fields can be mandatory or optional, private or public.
Only users with Manage Settings permissions can add or edit custom fields.
Add or Edit a Custom People Field
Under the Settings > People section, a set of default fields appear in the blue-shaded box. These fields cannot be removed. The icon is a mandatory field.
Add or edit custom fields of your choice by selecting the Custom fields section. The Add custom field button adds a custom field and the pencil icon edits an existing custom field.
When adding or editing a custom field, choose from seven different field types:
- Single list selection
- Multi list selection
- Date selector
- $ Value
Selecting the blue star icon makes the field mandatory.
Selecting the blue eye icon makes the field private.
Only Administrators, Manage All, and other custom permission groups with View Private Fields functionality are able to view this field.
Some common examples of custom people fields used are region or office location, build-type experience, and team member strength rating.
