In this article, you will learn how Self-perform Requests (jobs) are created for general contractors and monitored through the Assignments tab, on projects, and under the People view.

Creating Requests
To create a new job for a general contractor, click the Add Request button which is located under the Self-perform > Requests tab or the Self-perform tab within a project.
Fill in all required fields and click Save Request to create the request.
Assign a Request
Click on a pending request to view matching general contractors for the job. Green matches show the contractors that match the exact skill set for the job; orange shows partial skill set matches.
Once you select the requested general contractor, you can Assign or Assign & Notify via SMS. You can find more info on Notifying stakeholders with Text Messages here.
Once a general contractor has been assigned to a request, the request will turn into an assignment and appear under the Assignments tab.
You can also view, sort, and filter the status of assignments under the Status column.
When filters have been applied, you can click the corresponding blue X to remove them one at a time or click Clear Filters to clear all applied filters.

Self-perform on Projects
Self-perform requests and assignments will also appear on the project under the Self-perform tab.
People > Self-perform
Self-perform in the People Section
Under the People section, you will find an additional tab for Self-perform. Here you will find a list of all Self-perform Requesters as well as additional information like skill set and current/next assignments.
Click on the View Columns icon to manage which columns are displayed:
