At Bridgit, there are two hosting services we use to support various aspects of our product:
Heroku – a cloud platform that lets companies build, deliver, monitor and scale apps. Heroku uses AWS in the US East 1 Region in North Virginia. We leverage S3 to store images and backups of images specifically are replicated to the Canadian region of AWS.
Google Cloud – Bridgit’s Insights reporting in hosted through Google Cloud in the East Region.
Data locality - Data locality is confined to regions, but to ensure high availability and minimal risk of data loss, data is replicated to multiple sites within the region for resiliency. To learn more about AWS infrastructure as it relates to hosting, please visit their website here.
