Activating Experience Tracking
Users with the administrator permission can activate Experience Tracking by navigating to Settings > People > Experience tracking.
When activating experience tracking, select custom project fields to track experience for. Common examples include: Build type, Owner, Market sector, and owners.
Once selections are saved, experience will automatically be calculated for team members based on their active and completed project assignments.
Supported Fields for Experience Tracking
Experience can be configured for any custom project fields of type text or single list select. Additional custom project fields can be added in Settings > Projects > Custom fields.
Please reach out to our support team for assistance updating a custom field to be used with Experience tracking.
Deleting Fields From Experience Tracking
Select the X icon next to the field name to delete a field from Experience Tracking. This will immediately delete any calculated experience for that field from all profiles but will not impact the field value on projects.
Experience Calculation
Experience is automatically calculated for team members with active or completed project assignments, based on the number of days the team member has been assigned.
Experience will be calculated for awarded projects for all team members and pursuit projects for team members assigned to Preconstruction tasks.
Viewing Experience on Profiles
View all project experience a team member has on the Experience tab located on all Profiles.
Experience will be grouped by project and the table will display related experience field values and description of all active or completed projects, as well as the total experience the person gained from the project.
Information can be added or edited directly from the table by clicking into a cell.
Experience When Making Assignments
When making a project assignment, any related experience a team member has will be displayed on the assignment preview.
For example, when filling a role on a project with a Build Type of Data Centre, the assignment preview will include information about the Data Centre experience a team member has.
